When considering whether to check out the Canon Mini DV or the Flip Video Mino, you should understand the difference between the two. The Canon Mini DV can record much longer periods of footage which can then be heavily edited. The Flip Video Mino records less footage (up to 60 min) with less advanced editing. Both types of recorders are compatible with the Sony DVDirect DVD recorder located in the Reference Area of the library. We suggest using the Flip Video Mino for quick, easy, informal projects while the Canon Mini DV should be used for longer, more advanced recording.
